Cloistered Elegance

“For us the mountains offered the life we knew we were missing- a pace of living that reflects the quality of this natural environment. We wake up to see the sunrise over the valley below, filled with the morning fog, flowing like a great river between the mountain tops. In the evening the sun puts on a show of color across what will become a star filled sky as the day ends. We watch in awe as full moons rise up over the mountains filling the darkness with a glowing light.

Come spring, the fresh green growth works it way up the mountains, climbing to the surrounding peaks. In the fall the color cascades slowly down the side of the mountains back to the valley floor and the river beyond. We never tire of this view that is ever changing.

There is something special about this place, an enchantment that grounds you to a way of life in tune with the surroundings. Maybe it's the feeling of community and belonging from those who live here. Here we can enjoy nature at it's best- the activities of the humming birds sipping nectar from the flowers, wild turkeys calling out in the distance, the sound of the owls hooting out their call at night and seeing the deer roam free.

What have we enjoyed about living here? The knowledge that at the end of a busy day we will step into this private world we call home to relax and enjoy the life we live. It is truly the best kept secret in the mountains!”
